G105910-048 Zebra print head – Running direct thermal label material through your little Zebra LP2844 is like constantly running a very fine grade of sandpaper across your print head! The crystalline structure of the thermal coating is slightly abrasive and will over time, degrade your print head and therefore your print quality. If an element in your print head fails, you will start to find that certain areas of your label won’t be printed. You’ll get white lines passing through your text. If the white line coincides with a barcode, that code may not scan!
Replacing the print head is something you will need to do from time to time. It’s always best to be prepared and have one in stock.
